About Dexter WJ Davis

Dexter WJ Davis - Dexter attended Clemson University and was recognized as a football All American in 1988 by the Sporting News. In 1991 Dexter left Clemson to enter the National Football League draft. Dexter played professional football for six years before his career was cut short due to injury.

During his tenure at Clemson, Dexter studied Industrial Technology and Environmental Science. Although Dexter had the ability and desire to play professional football, Dexter always planned to enter the business world after his playing days concluded. When his career was cut short due to injury, Dexter returned to Morgan State University to complete his studies and received his Bachelor’s Degree.

After receiving his degree, Dexter continued his education with executive education classes at The Citadel and University of Phoenix, and has graduated from the J.E. Dunn Mentor-Protégé Program, the Kauffmann Foundation Fast-track Graduate Entrepreneurship program, and the Leighton Cubbage Mentor Entrepreneurship Program. After receiving his degree, Dexter accepted a position as a Biology, Applied Biology and Health Science instructor and became interested in the application of environmental technologies to reduce infection and health related recovery issues for high school, college and professional athletes. Dexter pursued this interest when he became a coach and player development coordinator for the National Football League’s NFL Europe experiment. As a result of his professional affiliations, Dexter was given the opportunity to work with several business entities to study the potential for using environmental clearing technologies to pre-treat locker rooms training facilities and athletic facilities in an effort to reduce secondary infection rates. Experience with these technologies and his direct exposure to business applications of environmental products is what gave Dexter the idea to start Eagle Universal Services.

Dexter founded Eagle Universal Services in 2009. Eagle began as an environmental cleaning and remediation company and performed work for clients such as Clemson University, the University of South Carolina, and the Atlanta Falcons. In an effort to grow and expand the Eagle business, Dexter formed strategic alliances with larger companies. Thru affiliations with Green Earth Partners, Atlanta Demolition and JE Dunn Construction, Eagle was able to expand its capabilities, and the Dexter and the Eagle team gained valuable knowledge in the areas of facilities management, commercial renovation, demolition, light construction and remediation services. Today, Eagle is a contractor in the fields of environmental remediation and training, facilities maintenance, and demolition and site services.

In addition to his responsibilities with Eagle, Governor Henry McMaster of South Carolina chose he and his wife to lead out his Health, Fitness and Mental Health initiative. Dexter is active in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and the CHAMPION Foundation which is designed to develop and mentor and equip young men and women to accept leadership roles in the community and max out his role as president of NFL alumni South Carolina.
